The Victoria Barracks Army Base is the first cottages ever built in 1840s. There are many charming historical terrace houses in Paddington surrounded with leafly trees and backyard gardens. Most of the houses are listed inthe National Trust of Australia.

Paddington Markets is located in the heart of premier shopping strip Oxford Street and the heritege-listed sandstone architecture of Paddington Uniting Church.
The open-air Markets is famous for its vibrant, creative and cutting edge fashion, modern contemporary art and craft design in Sydney. The Markest showcases many young talented emerging and designers artists in art, craft and the Future Star fashion designers.

One of the well known established Australian and international designers from Dinosaur Designs was started from the Markets. The designers began in selling handprinted fabrics and handcrafted jewellery in the Markets during the mid 80's
Some of the most exotic Australian made food are from the Himalayan, Asian, Indian, Aussie BBQ, Thai, organic bakery ,hot and spicy noodles, fresh food juices, tea, coffee, home made chocolates, cakes, Anne's sponge roll and Australian made soup.

The Paddington Markets comes alive every Saturday mornings with approximately 250 open-air stores in collectable object art and craft, jewelleries, antiques, homewares, fashion, food and wine, market stalls and fashionable galleries.
